I just brought my puppy home. He’s 12 pounds and 8 weeks old. He will be a medium sized boy about 50 lbs when full grown. I currently own a 2-3 year old cat. When we brought the puppy through the door, the cat was immediately on edge. Understandably so, but she wouldn’t retreat or hide so we could easily separate them upon arriving home. Within minutes, the cat attacked the puppy. It happened fast, but I think she bit him and did it hard enough for him to yelp. The puppy cannot move or make noise without her stalking and growling at him. I’m scared she will attack him again. We got the cat a few months ago and I have never owned one before, but she seems very aggressive now after being very calm.
