I've got a cat who really likes the dog. He'll try to play with the dog and nuzzle/lick him. The dog just goes still usually and sometimes leans into the headrub.
That's been going on for about a year, and still is. But the cat has taken to peeing on any form of dog bed. We thought the sides were confusing him for being similar to a litter box so we put down a comforter for the dog. Pees on that. Anything comfy for the dog he pees on. Recently there was a mess in our room, multiple comforters and bedding laying all over. He peed on the one the dog lays on. Remove all the beds for the dog and the cat has no peeing problems. He has even peed on the dog bed with the dog in it. And the dog just stared at him then us and sighed and didn't get up!
Any ideas? It seems cat likes dog and wants to claim him or something. Which is sweet but I'd like the dog to have a nice comfy place when he wants it.
