Hello. I have a 1 year old unneutered male cat. I raised him since he was 2 months old, mostly, i kept him home, but trained him for the outside bit by bit by staying close and seeing what he does. He always seemed a little wild, but he always came back home before a day would pass, so i'd say he was tame. Recently, he went missing for 6 days. I assumed he was either dead (there are a lot of predators where i live) or went far out to mate, because i searched my whole area every day, called his name and so on, i did not see a trace. That was until he showed up at my doorstep. Now that's good and all but he doesn't seem to recognise me anymore, or any other familly member that is. When he saw me he just ran away, i tried calling him, baiting him with food, but i cannot make the distance to catch him or even lure him back into my house, a house he used to hang out and cuddle just 6 days earlier. There is also a problem of my neighbors cat being agressive and chasing him, that might explain some of the behavior. Is there anything i can do to get him back? Why does he behave like that?
