This is a long read, but I suggest it to anybody who owns a cat or dog, or shit even a ferret. My eyes are now open. Raw food is the only way.
One of the most jaw-dropping things in this essay involves rendering facilities and the types of animals that go there to get put into our pet's food. Diseased cows. Euthanized dogs and cats. The euthanizing agent doesn't go away after the pressure cooking by the way.
That is just one of the many problems in a flawed system.
