Last night, my dad found a stray kitten near our apartment. We took it inside, because it was near a road and parking lot. The whole night, it kept meowing. We didn’t know if it was with another cat or not. The next day we got it some cat food and water and played with it a little. We even went around the community, where we’ve seen a cat sometimes, to see if it’s mother was there. It kept coming back to us, so nothing came of it. We’re thinking of giving it to Animal Control tomorrow, because my family isn’t really a cat family (not really a pet family in general, but would have a dog if they had to choose). Our only options are really to give it to Animal Control or keep it and hope that we see its family or mother in the community at some point. We just wanted to make sure it was safe for a couple of nights. Is this the best thing to do or should we do something else?
PS: We don’t know if it’s a boy or girl cuz we have no knowledge about cats.
