Leaving my cat for an extended period of time?

I live with my mother. I live in one half of the house, and she lives in the other. Our areas are separated by one waist high gate, in order to keep her two chihuahuas out of my half because it is carpeted (a dog pee heaven.) She has two chihuahuas, and I have a very social, cuddly indoor cat. In a month and a half, I will be leaving for about 2 months. An indeterminate amount of time later, I will be leaving for 5 months. I have two options as to what to do with my cat while I'm gone:

Option 1- leave my cat at my house, and have my mother take care of her. The upside: the cat's environment doesn't change. The downside: she will be completely alone effectively 24 hours a day, besides whenever my mother comes and feeds her/ takes care of her.

Option 2- leave my cat with my aunt. My aunt has two birds, a lizard, 6 chickens, 2 indoor/outdoor cats and a large dog. Pros: my cat would not be isolated, and has plenty of engagement with other animals (though this may be negative- not sure how she interacts with other animals) and plenty of humans to give her attention and care for her. Cons: massive change in environment along with my absence. Possible overstimulation with many animals. Possible diseases / illnesses with exposure to other outdoor animals. (I will specifically prohibit her family from letting my cat outside. No exceptions.)

Thoughts? I'm heartbroken at having to leave her, and want to choose which will be least stressful for her. I know she will be heartbroken at my sudden disappearance, and I just wish I could explain it to her. I don't know if the other animals will be a welcome distraction or an unnecessary stress.
