Okay, so a few months ago my family brought 4 mice. They get along really well and play a lot. About a week ago, we noticed that one of them who we named Koda had a lump, and we initially thought it was a tumor and planned to take her to the vet, but the swelling went down so we changed our mind. (we read that mice get tumors, malignant, all the time and that usually vets can't do anything about them because mice are too small)
Anyway, today I was playing with them and I noticed that Koda had a sore where the tumor was. It is red, not bleeding, about pea sized, and is in her cheek area. She acts the about the same, though she's not as active as usual (she still is active however), and from her on my hand and the way she looks, it doesn't seem like she lost weight. But she does groom herself a lot more than usual. I guess my question is if there is anybody who can help to identify what this is, if it is life threatening, should we take her to the vet immediately...
If it was up to me, I'd take her right away, but I'm a teenager and can't do it myself and my family won't take immediate initiative. I tried really hard to get a picture but I couldn't since she moves around in my hand a lot, but I was able to attach a (blurry) video of her grooming herself. You can kinda see a dark spot where the sore is. Please help me!
