my next door neighbor throws his cat out whenever his kids leave. i’ve seen him do it multiple times. it’s now getting too hot for kitty to be outside all day and my neighbor has been gone for 8 days. i’ve been feeding his cat, and now whenever i open my door he comes running. he’s a blueprint siamese and with no exaggeration, the sweetest cat i’ve ever encountered. when i look outside my peep hole i notice him waiting on my neighbors doormat. today he was panting and i brought him inside and gave him tons of water, food and cuddles. is this animal cruelty? is there something i can do? i’d like to adopt him if possible but i don’t want drama with my neighbor. this is breaking my heart, though. i’m trying to think of all possibilities like, there’s a pandemic maybe he’s sick or somebody needed him... but i still can’t wrap my head around it. i’m in ohio, if that matters. if there’s nothing else i can do i’ll just continue feeding him and giving lots of fresh water. (or is feeding him bad and making him too dependent on me? please tell me, i just want to help he’s so sad)
