I recently adopted the sweetest 4 month old kitten, who is super affectionate and loves pets and cuddles. I’ve been doing a lot of research as a new pet owner on products/chemicals that can harm your pets, but I’m having trouble finding information on how to safely use skincare products (facial lotions with SPF, moisturizer, serums, hand and body cream, etc.) around pets. I’ve stopped using most things altogether in the meantime, especially since he sleeps very close to my face most nights. My skin is not reacting well to this as you can imagine. His health is obviously a main priority, but I do have vitiligo on my face, so sunscreen is really important to keeping my skin healthy too. I am hoping that some of you can share cat safe products, or advice from vets or physicians you’ve received in the past (perhaps how long you should wait for something to fully absorb before it’s safe).
