My kitten won't stop eating he kitty litter

Hi everyone, I adopted a cat 3 days ago, she's settled in really well, stopped hiding after a day and is now wanting to play with us.

But every time she goes into her litter tray, she begins eating the CATSAN litter.

I have looked online that says allow her to go in and if you see her begin eating, take her out again, until she gets the message, but I'm worried about the amount that she is eating as I pick her up out of it again and again.

Any help is appreciated.

Ps: She has a bowl of biscuits and has eaten most of them, I don't think shes hungry
