Brought home the most adorable black domestic shorthair home two months ago. He’s my new best friend! :)
It took him a little bit to get used to my place (he was only in the shelter for a WEEK before I picked up him up - in other words… between the previous owner dropping him off at the shelter, and me picking him up, was only a week. He’s very comfortable with my place now. He loves to follow me everywhere I go, including the bathroom! Ha!
Only thing is, when he sees someone he doesn’t recognize, he’ll immediately bolt to the bedroom and hide under my bed, basically until the person will leave. Granted, I’ve only had two people over due to COVID-19, both over two times…
Is it one of those things in which a guest needs to be over constantly, for him to get used to? When the guests look under the bed where he’s hiding, he’s not hissing or anything, which is encouraging.
What gives?? :(
