Please dear god help me get some sleep (pet feeder question)

My cat has done what cats do and taken over. He's forced his feeding schedule to be at 2 am and its killing me. Im trying to retrain him and trying out an automatic feeder.

I just got it today, and put food in for next mealtime at 2 am, hoping to ween him forward again. I got one that has a 5 compartment rotating disc, where only the one compartment shows and you can set it to rotate once at a certain time. (If i got him a hatch one he'd surely open it, knowing him and how they're made.)

HOWEVER after putting it down an hour ago, He's been constantly after it trying to break in thru the top (can't) but he just fogured out how to force the rotation and got some of it out before i noticed and forced it back. It wasn't hard to force , honestly.

And this is my question! Are there ANY pet feeders, hatch or rotation method idc, that actually LOCK ?! This thing doesn't require much force to rotate by pushing on one side of the displayed/empty slot, let alone getting just enough open to get at the food. All of the others I've seen look similar, is this the case across the board?

Or is there an "industrial grade pet feeder" somewhere meant to keep out bears our something that I don't know about?

Please help me I'm just tired😭
