TW: euthanasia
Strangers on the Internet.. I need your help. I might be in denial about it being time to put my 18 yr old cat down. How did you know it was time???
He is still friendly .. so friendly.. but all the other issues are indicators for it being time. Incontinence (bowel and urine), sleeping, weight loss, lack of appetite, fur and skin texture changes... but he is so loving and sweet and loves pets.
The vet has flat out told us he is old and any issues we are trying to treat are due to age.
How did you know?? How do I know it's the right time and not be wracked with guilt? How do I know if I'm just keeping him alive out of guilt and fear that it's too early?
How did you know it was time???
