Hello! I am need of a lot of information and I have figured that this is the best place to ask. Please bare with me, I didn't expect for this to be this long :/
I have been looking to adopt a cat and I have finally settled on two different cats. I do want to know now what I should be feeding my cat before I get it. I have skimmed through many websites, past reddit posts and videos and I am honestly very lost.
For the 6 month old kitten I have seen that Royal Canin and Hill's Science are the top recommendations. I am wondering how much would I be giving a 6 month old kitten on a daily basis. How many ounces would I give to a 6 month old kitten every day? How often should I be feeding the kitten, 2 or 3 times a day? What is the best food to feed a kitten? Does it matter if it's chicken, salmon, turkey, etc.?
Should I also leave out dry food for them nibble on throughout the day? If I am giving the kitten wet food twice a day, would the amount of wet food given change if I add dry food to their diet? What dry food is the best quality? If dry food is a good idea to add to their diet, what proportions/amount of dry and wet food should I be giving the kitten a day?

Regarding a 1 year old cat, I am asking the same questions. What's the best food? How often should I be feeding a cat? How much of the food? Should dry food be given? If so, what's the best dry food? If I add dry food to their diet, does this change how much wet food is given throughout the day? If so, how much of each should I give a day? What's the best brand of dry food and wet food?

I was also wondering about treats! What's the best treats for a kitten? What's the best treats for a 1 year old, young adult cat? Any brand recommendations?
Sorry for all these questions! I just really, really, really, really want all the information I can get to plan out the diet of my future cat. I want my future cat to be as hippie, happy and healthy as possible. Thanks guys!
