Hello. Sorry it's a bit long
I adopted a cat because I have been in love with cats since I was a child I had cats. It’s been a 3 days ago.
I went to a shelter and saw this beautiful but very shy cat. He spits a bit when you approach it but it stops when you get up to it.
He runs away from humans and tries to leave as soon as a human approaches. He touched me and I wanted to give him a chance because nobody wants it
Only it gives me a lot of anxiety. He is hiden everywhere all day. Under the sink, under the bed or behind the washing machine.
It only comes out at night when I'm asleep and he makes noise. I think he's very stressed out and he's letting off steam in a panic. It wakes me up at night and I can no longer sleep because I am stressed. When I get up and he sees me he quickly runs away to hide until the evening
I dont know what to do. I want to give him time, but I'm afraid he'll get crazy or aggressive. Maybe he never will love humans? Maybe he wants to go away at night?
However he eats and drinks at night and he goes in litter. It may be a good sign. I put on a feliway diffuser and I never trying to touch him. Candy’s or games do not attract him
Do you have any advice ?
