So I live with my boyfriend and our roommate, our roommate has four cats (all different ages) and a dog. Now, this is more about the dog. The dog came from our roommates ex, where he came from a few other owners. The dog is named Stitch.
Stitch is some kind of mutt, Honestly I have no clue what kind of dog he his. He has always been skinny, and has bad separation anxiety. Which he but that's just the base. Now the Stitch is 15/16 years old. He is starting to go blind, he has trouble walking, and is now getting so skinny you can really see his bones. (and we feed up half a can up 2-3 times a day)
And that's not all. Our roommate over the last year, has been at the house a total of maybe half a month. Always being over his girlfriends house. and like I said, While we (me and my bf) can be here, Stitch is Okay...he still shows signs of separation anxiety. And also, me and the roommate have jobs and work 40+ hours a week. At the end of the day, we take care of the animals as best as we can, but they are not ours. it's not our responsibility, plus we don't have the money for vets and honestly our roommate doesn't.
Like I said before, Stitch is old, he is showing signs. Honestly I'm surprised when I see him alive each day. But I also know feel like it would be better to put him to sleep since I don't Stitch to get worse to the point he can't even walk. and we have tried to talk to our roommate, his parents have tried. But he just wont listen. Honestly it sucks the Stitch is under his name.
But what would you do? is there anything we can do?
Here are some pics, they are about three years old. (also is you could tell me...what he is...)
