Hi friends! So my Maltese Shih Tzu mix who is 7 1/2 pounds was sick on Sunday. She was vomiting a lot and had diarrhea. Obviously, we took her to the vet and they said she must have gotten into something food-wise and was experiencing some tummy upset. She went through a bunch of tests and she was cleared. We took her home today and she has been her old self. I have given her water and a small amount of plain rice and boiled chicken to help to continue to soothe her tummy. However, as life would have it we had an accident tonight. My mom spilled some hot chocolate and she got about 2-3 licks before I could snatch her up in time. It has been about 15 minutes and she is still acting fine. Will she be alright since it was such a small amount of chocolate? I cannot imagine it was even 1/2 a teaspoon. I am so scared for my beloved girl.
