Adopted a desexed male cat (a little over a year old) a couple of weeks ago. He’s really lovely 99% of the time, but in the last 3 days or so has started to become aggressive while kneading. If you look at him while he’s doing it he’ll meow at you, if you come too close or maintain eye contact he will attack. He just sat next to my son while kneading then randomly jumped up and bit his ear (son is old enough to give the cat space and not annoy him, so it was a truly random attack). Is there anything I can do to deter him from this behaviour? I’d already had a conversation about leaving the cat completely alone while he does this but that doesn’t really help when he’s wandering around and kneading in different areas.
