Hi I have a very friendly, social male cat, 5 years old. Recently I adopted a one-year-old female cat from rescue .she is extremely shy, very loving and sweet. Its been almost 10 days, she hardly comes out of the closet to eat food, litter and very lil play. I talked to the rescue group and foster mom. They said it may take 3 weeks to get out of her shell. I want to give her time, but I don't know if she would be a good companion for my resident cat as they don't have any bonding yet. I wanted to adopt a second cat for my resident cat as I felt, he is lonely, but still, nothing changes. Please advise .thanks.
