Hello, I'd like to get some help figuring out if there are strong reasons to get or not get a cat/cats/dog/dogs at certain times with regards to starting a family and moving to a different house. So something like which order to get dogs and cats in and why within the timeline of:
before pregnancy, during pregnancy, with a 0-1 year old, with a 1-3 year old;
and then also:
before moving (no backyard), after moving (with a backyard).
If there are other things to watch out for, either positive or negative, please feel free to share! For example, maybe it's a really bad idea to get a kitten with a 1 year old, or you should always get a cat before a dog, or don't get two dogs before you have at least one cat etc. etc.
I'm not really set on any end combination of cats and dogs in particular, but I think it would be nice to have one of each eventually. I also don't imagine getting more than two pets before we move would be reasonable. Thanks in advance for any help!
