After showing me how to give my cat her subq fluids, the vet tech flipped the IV bag over and squeezed some fluids back into the bag. Is it still sterile and safe to use?

So the vet tech was showing me how to give subq fluids to my cat today, and she'd done it on my cat as a sample, closed the IV line, and changed the needle. She noticed that there was too much liquid in the drip chamber (I think that's what it's called?) and showed me that you could squeeze the liquid from the drip chamber back into the bag. I asked if it was still okay to use that bag of fluids if she'd squeezed some from the line back into the bag, and she said it should be fine since she'd changed the needle and closed the IV line so I brought it home, but I just wanted to make sure it was still safe to use on my cat before I tried it.
