My family and I have this adorable cat that was given to us when she was about 2 or 3 months back in August. She's a nervous little thing and terrified of her own shadow. She's finally starting to gain our trust. We still havent been able to get her into her crate to take her to get her necessary shots but I think we're getting closer and closer to seize the opportunity
My biggest issue is my allergies. I gradually started having a reaction to her. As she got more comfortable with us she wouldn't run off whenever we sat next to her on the couch. Unfortunately, I am her favorite human and she won't leave me alone. She always needs to be around and she'll meow my ears off if I hide in my room which is a no-no zone for her. I am currently taking Zyrtec (Cetirizine) which works ok most of the time but it's not enough for me. Im too busy to take Benadryl. Most of the time my throat is inflamed and feels like I have strep throat. My ears are constantly in pain and itchy as well. I have asthma and fortunately she hasn't triggered anything there but something tells me that soon that will be a problem.
Any ideas/solutions? My family loves her to pieces and we're trying to find an alternative to giving her away. But she is slowly killing me and idk how long I can continue to do this.
For what its worth I believe she is an American short hair
