My mom and I went to shelter few days ago and she found tuxedo cat she really likes the cat was very affectionate during first meet and today we finally got to adopt her.
Well when we picked her up the woman running shelter said the cat (Mittens) is in a bad mood cause they clipped her nails which was okay so we took her home open the carry and she wouldn’t leave the carrier so we waited she exited the carrier just to run under the bed we left food and water under the bed until she’s ready to come out but my mom feels like she’ll never adapt to being here because she was at the shelter for two years.
Is this normal cat behavior or should we be concern? Is there anything we can do to help her feel welcomed?
