Hey everyone! I am a 30 year old male whose beloved cat bit pretty hard in the right thumb at the end of October. The bite was actually so bad that I spent a night in ER and then 3 days in hospital, hooked up to IV. The location of the bite was right next to the joint of thumb which connects to the hand. Doctors were worried that the infection may get to the tendon and I am glad they acted quickly.
However, it has been already more than 2 months and I keep having slight pains around the thumb joint. Especially when I pick up heavy objects, etc. My physiotherapist and doctor tell me that such pains can last a long time but never specified how long. I was wondering how many more months can it take for my hand to fully recover from other people's experience? This pain gets slightly irritating and I am anxious to get back to completely normal state, pre-bite.
