Cat drooling, otherwise more or less normal (no other symptoms)

1 yr old male (neutered) cat with no previous medical history.

He's been drooling for the past 2 days, but otherwise completely normal. Plays with the other cat and eats/drinks/poops/pees normally. His drool drips from his mouth - no foam or anything like that. I checked his mouth for red gums, excess growth, etc, but don't see anything. He's an indoor cat, so unlikely he ate something poisonous (we don't have any plants, and tend to not leave food out).

I noticed it yesterday morning, but over past few hours noticed him drooling a little bit more. Still no other symptoms, but he does seem a little bit more mellow than before, but nothing super obviously wrong.

Anyone seen this before? Is it worth going to the emergency for? All the vets are fully booked up til Feb :/
