I don't have anywhere to turn for this, so hopefully you guys can help.
My cat has recently lost her hearing (she can't hear anything unless you YELL), and continuously cries. She's old, around 18 - 20 give or take we're not entirely sure, and has a warm bed that she absolutely refuses to leave. But in the same token, because of this she won't socialize with the rest of my family, and cries because of it, so she might be lonely.
She also cries at night and keeps everyone awake, and both of my parents want to put her down because of it. Either that or give her up for adoption but because she's so old I know for a fact her chances of getting adopted are slim to none, and I don't want to put her down just because she's deaf and lonely.
We don't have anyone who can take her either. Yes we've tried moving her bed to another location, but she won't stay. She'll go back to where her bed was originally and cry, this time because her beds gone missing. We've given her medication in case she has some pain that's making her cry like that when she lays down, or anxiety due to having lost her hearing, but she still cries even when on said medication. She still eats, sleeps, and drinks...
I really don't know what to do... I don't want to put my best friend down...
