My cat has always been pretty affectionate with me ever since she was a baby. She’s about three years old now, turning four soon. She follows me around everywhere, she’s very chatty with me, loves to rub against me, hates when I leave - she definitely has some separation anxiety. Anyways, she’s never been the type of cat to lay next to me, she’s always a few feet away when we sleep. However, yesterday she laid by my legs while I studied, and she is currently laying right next to my head and purring while I try and take a nap (she used to lay by my head as a baby, but hasn’t done it again since today). Should I be concerned with new, sudden affection?
Edit: Over this past week, I recently got her some new toys, and I’ve been trying to maintain a perfect play schedule so maybe that’s why there’s this sudden change within her behavior??? Still concerned though.
