Recently (within the past week) one of my cats has started meowing and scratching at the closed living room door to be let out to come to bed with me. The issue is, if I leave the living room door open (where their food and litter is) his brother wakes me every hour, without fail. When the living room door is closed, though, his brother is quiet and sleeps all night.
I feed them both before going to bed, fresh water, clean their litter and play with them to tire them out but.
I don’t know what to do. I can either lock them in the living room and have him meow and scratch the doors to oblivion or let them both free, and be woke up every hour by his brother.
It’s driving me and my boyfriend mad.
