This is just a small vent, I'm not seeking any particular advice, just figured other pet owners might relate.
My cat is only 6 months old and has already had 2 UTIs (one of which required an emergency vet visit). He has also had major surgery to fix an issue with his junk that was caused by his siblings suckling on his genitals as a baby and left him with a narrower than average urethra. We didn't find out about this until after we adopted him, and the vet says he will require ANOTHER major surgery to fix it, likely within the next year or two.
Now he has developed persistent diarrhea and we can't figure out what's causing it, so it's back to the vet we go. My wallet is hurting and I feel so frustrated, because a cat this young shouldn't be having this many issues and I wish I'd known he would have all these health problems before I adopted him. I love my pet to pieces and wouldn't trade him for anything, but I also wish I could just have a normal and healthy cat sometimes.
