Important, potentially life-saving advice for finding lost cats and dogs

Take an article of clothing that you've worn at least all day, so your pet can pick up your scent. Leave the clothing where you last saw the dog, as well something they might recognize as theirs, like a toy, bed, leash, or scratching-post. You should also leave a note asking that the items not be moved and why. Leave a bowl of water as the they might not have had access to any, but no food as it could attract other animals that they'll avoid. Check on the spot regularly, some who've taken this advice were reunited with their pets on the same day, even thirty minutes after. Also, the best places to put posters are places that actively seek out homeless animals, such as pounds, shelters, pet stores. Even if you aren't allowed to put up a poster their, it's important to check these places because their the ones most likely to find your pet. I hope you're all find any missing pets.
