I recently got a new kitten, I have never had cats so really don’t know what to expect. My kitty is active , playful, eating and using litter box 3-4 times a day. He is purely indoor. So far I’ve completed my initial 8 week vet visit which included:
- physical exam $100 (basically just weighed him, sweet talked to him and told me his scrotum was protruding normally)
- core vaccine $40
- dewormer $26 (this is by weight and will increase next visit)
- fecal exam $65
- feLV vaccine $40
What pissed me off was the vet said they would give me a few cans of wet food to take home. I had thought these were samples to try. At the front desk they added that to the bill. Did I even ask for wet food? No.
They booked me for the 12 & 16 week visits, which consists of everything above except the fecal exam.
They also let me know about the neuter, I don’t have the breakdown of cost but they mentioned pre blood work , sedative and anesthesia which are mandatory for the actual neuter surgery .
Please tell me the truth.
