Hey guys so I just adopted a cat from the shelter. He’s a male cat, super cuddly and sweet when I adopted him from the shelter. Because we have another cat we are doing a VERY slow introduction. I set his base camp in a room with everything he needs while the other cat is in another room. So here’s the thing whenever we open the door to go out or walk next to him (we walk slow) he swats and hisses. It’s also usually when we are walking past him to go out a door. Why does this occur? PLEASE HELP. I’m really wanting to redirect this behavior and understand why he’s doing it. We tried playing with him to tucker him out but he still does it.
