Hi everyone, I guess I’m writing here out of desperation. Our cat (my favourite thing in the world) has jaundice and has been to the vets.
He’s now on the medication recommended and is a bit better then when he was at the vets for a few days. He is drinking and eating but is extremely lethargic to the point where he is sleeping most of the time. He is however leaning into our hand for pats and occasionally moving to different spots in the house.
We are doing our best with the situation and the liver is obviously the problem - is there anything else we can do or can anyone else recommend something?
My wife and I are absolutely devastated. This cat has been our best friend for the past 5 years - I’m sure others understand. We have accepted we may lose him however we have also accepted we can’t do this without giving him a good chance to recover as he doesn’t seem to be in pain, just very tired.
