I made another post here recently, but being a relatively new cat owner, I always have questions.
Right now, our 6-month-old cat is an outdoor cat, that we're trying to make indoors. I don't think he'd have any problem being fully indoors (he never wants to leave), but our house isn't ready yet, so we need to wait a bit longer.
Even if he is mid-eating, if he sees that we're eating, he will try his best to eat whatever we have. I know cats are always curious about food and may try to eat it, but he's very determined to get it? Like, it isn't just curiosity, he tries his hardest to eat it.
We are trying to train him not to jump on the table or counter, but I don't know if it's working, since he will try his hardest to get to our food. He would have eaten one of my almonds the other day if I hadn't stopped him, so naturally I'm worried about if this behavior will continue, because I wouldn't want him eating something he can't have.
Is that just his personality? Is it because he's young? Or is that something that will change when he's fully indoors and has access to food 24/7, unlike now when we can't leave food out overnight?
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you so much!
