Landlord/Complex "No Pet" exceptions?

I'm in a bit of a predicament and want to know if anyone has had success in convincing a landlord (albeit private or company owned) to let you have an animal, specifically a cat, in a no pet allowed policy?

And before we get into my situation, I just want to say I would HAPPILY pay a pet deposit if I could.

My situation:

Our complex, company owned, has a no pet policy with a pretty hefty fine if caught. But I kid you not - 75% of the tennants have animals, many of the ones we spoke to have fake esa letters. Even one of the office ladies, who signed our lease, lives on the premise and has a big ass husky. I see her walking her dog often so I know for a fact it's her. So it got us thinking.

Rewind a bit - We've lived here for over a year now - never missed a payment, follow a good weekly cleaning routine so we keep up with the place, and are very quiet, so overall good tenants. When we first moved in, we didn't really consider getting an animal so it wasnt something we factored in when looking for a place but shortly after moving, we really wanted one. Then, we noticed literally everyone else has an animal, so we decided - SCREW IT! We'll get a cat!

So we've been naughty and have had a secret kitty for about 10 months now and she is a really good kitty. She RARELY meows (even on trips to the vet), has never gone outside of her litter box, and only scratches her post. She does get zoomies quite a bit because she is still a kitten, but even then, our downstairs neighbors are Infinitely louder than she is even when she is at 100% zoomie mode. So having a secret kitty hasn't been an issue at all but I also feel like they wouldn't care at all if they found out because everyone has a pet but at the same time I don't want to find that out cause I don't want to get fined or evicted.

However any time maintenance needs to change or fix something, it's extremely anxiety inducing and I always go into panic mode like "this is it, this is when we get caught". (Which is where I'm at right now, obviously) For the most part I don't mind having a secret cat because she is really well behaved and easy to keep hidden but I wish I had some options just to have peace of mind so I wouldn't have to worry everytime.

What is the probability of convincing the landlord/office of a company owned complex into letting us have harmless, quiet, indoor cat if everyone else already has animals including one of the staff members? Anyone have experience with this?

Are there any other options? I would happily pay a pet deposit if I could.
