Hi everyone,
My dog is an 8 yo mongrel. We never brushed his teeth, simply because where I live this was not common practice. I noticed he has plaque on his teeth. I asked some people what to do, they said not to worry as stray dogs never get their teeth brushed either.
I want him to live longer.. I'm worried this will cause an issue. We do take him to the vet regularly for other issues he's had since childhood. The vet never raised the importance of brushing his teeth either.
Idk if I'm worrying too much. TIA!
