I have a pretty energetic 9 month old kitten. She needs to play and exercise quite often or she will try to get my 5 year old aloof cat to play (who is much more laid back and would much rather nap). I try to play with her 1-2 times a day until she is panting or decides she is done playing. This has worked wonderfully up until about a month ago. She seems less interested in playing with me and will go around my apartment to get into something like the fireplace, opening cabinets, etc. What's the best way to keep her entertained? When I'm not at home? Up until now, she loved her fishing pole with a bell and cat nip. Not really interested in any of her other toys either. I've tried crinkling toys, a battery operated ball that moves around, little balls in an attempt to play fetch with and nothing interests her! She also plays with my 3 year old dog and they love playing, but sometimes my cat isn't interested and that's usually when I step in and play with her. How do you exercise your cat? TIA
