Planning to bring my very anxious cat on a plane in about 2 weeks and I’m feeling extremely nervous. It will be about 8 hours of travel time which is much longer than she’s used to. The longest trip I’ve done with her was a 3 hour road trip and that was stressful enough for her. I’m especially nervous about having to take her out of her carrier for the TSA check. She does not like be held especially when she’s stressed and she will squirm and claw her way out of people’s arms in an attempt to escape. I’m planning to bring her to the vet 3 days prior for a check up and to see if we can get a sedative for her. I’m just wondering if anyone has any other advice or has been in this situation before?
