My wife and I got our first kitten back before we married at our apartment (Church) he’s a grey male and lived with us for 3 years there. We are all he knows and love him so much. When we bought our home we adopted a female (Riply) she is the sweetest thing and gets along with everyone. Then we adopted Lily the pug and introduced her to the family. She demands all of our attention. My wife is #1 and I’m B squad. Church has been pissed off about this for about 2 years. We have had fights in the past and both my wife and I have shed blood trying to break them up. He seems to be triggered by load noises when he thinks his mom is in trouble, coupled by her screaming at them trying to diffuse the situation. This week stated off with fights and it has not happened for about a year. I thought things were getting better, wife and I discussed Lily getting her eyes damaged. Today there was an early morning altercation and Lily’s corina was punctured resulting in a emergency vet trip. I think / hope she will be ok. We have Church in the basement for awhile but this brings up the topic of having him declawed again. We have both been against it but after the history we have had in this short time I don’t see another solution other then keeping them segregated in the basement and not allowing them free roam of the house. I don’t know what too do.
