I have the sweetest cat. I adopted her when my neighbor passed away about 7 years ago. She had never been to the vet. When I took her to get spayed she had a seizure. She only stays indoors. She just hates to get in the carrier or go anywhere. Now with Covid I can’t even go inside with her. I’m saying all this because I really only go to the vet when I need to. About a month ago I took her to the clinic to get her routine care.
She’s recently developed a red spot between her shoulders. She’s never had anything like this and doesn’t mix with other kitties ever. I’m worried that she got fleas or something else from the vets office. She seems itchy at the site. I don’t want to expose her to anything I don’t need to and she gets so scared. I’m wondering if I can try a flea treatment as a first line of defense or if she needs lab tests for sure.
I also give her essential fatty acids when her skin gets dry in the winter. I’ve started giving her more of that. Any experiences are appreciated. I’ll definitely take her back if that’s what she needs. I’d definitely prefer an easier way Thank you all
