I'm trying to figure out if my cats are just picky or if there really is variance between each delivery of canned food. This has happened with every canned food I've ever tried to give them.
I recently switched one cat from a primarily dry food diet to primarily wet. She LOVES the wet food she is given and sits by her bowl multiple times/day expecting me to refill it.
I was running low so instead of waiting for the next delivery from Chewy, I went to the store to pick up some individual cans. This morning, she sniffed at the food and walked away. It's the exact same brand, same flavor, and it's been in my house for a few days (so it shouldn't smell like the store). Why does this happen?
It happens with my other cat with her wet food. Each time I get a new delivery, she refuses to eat the food for 3-4 days, and I end of wasting several cans. I can't imagine these companies are changing the recipe every month.
