So a little backstory first..for probably in the last year or so now one of my cats(she's around 3yrs now) has slowly stopped eating her wet food when it was the only brand she liked (Sheba cuts) and she didn't throw up with.
When I first got her I bought friskies wet food ( because that was what I was giving my first cat) and whole hearted dry food which is like a petco brand, but she would throw up with friskies wet food but she was fine with the dry.
I ended up later getting the whole hearted wet food and treats too but she would only lick the wet food a couple times and then after a while didn't eat it at all. So then while keeping my first cat on the same food I tried out a couple of other brands and types to see if she would like them and Sheba cuts was eventually what she would eat a decent amount of and eventually switched my first cat to that too (he eats anything besides paté lol)
Now so after what I felt like was a better switch since she was eating normally I started giving them temptations treats because they had some good flavors I thought they would like, she had started to eating less of the wet food and becoming more demanding with the treats within the last year but just thought nothing of it for whatever reason.
Anyway so now it's gotten to the point where I tried giving her a different brand of wet food ( tiki) just to see if that was the problem and she licked it a few times and left it alone and so did my other cat so I just went back to sheba so I didn't mess up their eating habits too much (only gave 2 packets of different flavors to try it out).
And now she just completely runs and just sits there if I ever get anywhere where near the treats ( she's fine with greenies and a meow mix treats so far) but I'm honestly just worried and curious because she used to eat her wet food and now she's not. I just recently took them both to the vet too and they recommended greenies for their teeth but I kinda don't really feel like that's like a " real" treat you know? And I heard from my roommate who used to be the manager at Petco that meow mix and whole hearted aren't really good brands.
Sorry for the super long post I'm just worried.
Ps. She constantly eats dry food ( blue buffalo)
