We have a very small kitten living in the crawlspace under our apartment, and we've been feeding it over the course of the past few weeks. We're thinking it's probably feral because it's very scared of people, but we'd like to bring it inside for the next couple days as it's supposed to be around 13-19 degrees outside with sleet and freezing rain and we don't want it to freeze. The kitten can go back outside after this week, but our main goal is getting it out of the cold.
Last night we propped the door open and put a bowl of food inside the kitchen, and the kitten came in and explored the kitchen for a bit, and then left on its own. Is there a safe way to get the cat inside without traumatizing it?
