I adopted a street cat recently (probably around 5 months old) but now my parents are telling me to get rid of him.

It's been two days since I took him in from the street and for both of the nights I only got barely 3 hours of sleep. He sleeps a lot in the morning and is very active during the night. And he wrecks havoc every where. He jumps on our tv and tries to chew in wires and stuff even though we give him toys and scratching posts to play with. My parents don't like animals much so they aren't willing to keep an eye in him constantly and be worried that he'll break something expensive or jump on the kitchen counter and turn the gas on or touch a hot pan etc. I asked the local animal rescue centre but they said they can't take anymore cats in.

So my main question is should I leave him in the streets again and just feed him there like I used to do before I took him in? Will he get sad or miss my home even though it's only been 2 days.
