I never let my cats sleep with me at night

Okay so to start I never liked sleeping with my door open since I could remember (or at least when I stopped being scared of the dark) and I have 3 cats. I know all cats are nocturnal and are constantly going in and out of rooms cause they bored. I can't sleep cause I am also a light sleeper and noise wakes me up immediately.

So when I am ready to go to bed, 2 of my cats run into the room and stay there cause they know that'll keep me up with them to play or just hangout. Usually I let them stay an hour and they nap the whole time but when I am super tired and want to sleep I shake the snack container and they come RUNNIN! i give them a few pieces then I make my quick escape and shut the door fast. It has become their normal that thats when they leave alone for the night. But sometimes they are so stubborn and to the point where they scream and yell like they are being murdered! And maybe headbutt the door.

This makes me feel super bad about not letting them in the room when I am trying to sleep. And I think I am maybe traumatizing them? (Note I am not in my bedroom all day and have them with me when I am home) Should I feel bad? Am I doing this cat parenting right?
