A thought I had the other day when I was looking at my cat, Kafka.
She’s been a menace about food since the day I got her, screaming to be fed almost as soon as her plate is empty. I tolerated it, but it baffled me - until my mom remembered that the shelter we got her from found her in a field half-starved.
So if I could make her understand anything (aside from how I love her, which I’m pretty sure she knows), I would tell her that she will never go hungry in this house.
