So my cat was lost for roughly 2 and a half years. We looked and looked, sent flyers out and checked the surrounding area for months. No luck.
Only today the vet called and told us a man came in with my cat (microchipped) and wants to take ownership.
We spoke over the phone with man and really wants to keep it. He is quite old and has kept her for all this time. He only lived a street across from where she went missing. Go figures.
We really want her back as well. But now have a dog in our lives. We believe our dig would be fine with it. The cat maybe not....
Either decision will be heartbreaking
What should we do?
