So my mom and I decided to adopt this street dog that wandered inside our home 4 days ago and since we also have 2 other chihuahuas my mom decided to buy a big dog house for them. The dog house is really cozy, it has good insulation and I decided to test if it was too cold for the dogs to sleep in but it feels just like a regular house. I decided to buy a carpet and place it inside and even added blankets for the big dog we found to sleep warm in. It’s a cool night so my mom wanted to let the big dog inside to sleep since we didn’t want him to get sick but he kept wanting to sleep in our beds and my mom got frustrated and kicked the dog outside. The dog has been crying near our door wanting to be let in, my mom refused to let him sleep inside because she doesn’t want him to make a mess and start peeing and pooping everywhere since he’s not trained. I’m very upset with how my mom decided to approach things but I kind of understand why she doesn’t want the dog to think he’s going to live inside. I feel really horrible and I want to let him inside but I don’t want to wake up to a poop disaster in my room since our house is really tiny. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to calm the dog down or is he just acting spoiled and throwing a tantrum for no reason?
Edit: I don’t know why he won’t sleep in the dog house it’s a pretty large house I tried to make it as comfortable as possible but he just sits by the stairs outside and sometimes falls asleep there. I don’t understand why he won’t just sleep in his house and he decides to freeze on his own will.
