I bought a cat just yesterday (we tried adoption but it didn't work out) and this is my first time owning a pet of any kind. I just wanted to ask if cats are okay with used beds and scratching post. I'm doing okay financially but I still like to save money where I can. I found a very nice bed online for like 1/4th of the retail price but I wasn't sure if cats can smell the scent of the previous pet. Sorry for the newbie question. Also would appreciate any advice from veteran cat owners about things I should look out for.
