Today I found a malnourished mother cat with two kittens (two of her other kittens had passed away). She's very friendly and I was able to get both her and her kittens inside with some tuna and ham. We've got her in a large dog crate with a litter box, water, dry kitten food, wet kitten food, and some kitten formula at the suggestion of a petsmart worker. She doesn't seem to want anymore food so I'm not too worried about her over-eating. The kittens seem to still be nursing and they don't seem very whiny so I think they are still getting milk. I'm trying to make sure they're getting milk but it's hard to tell. I've got a heating pad under the bed and blankets in the crate and a heater a bit far away from them so it's not too hot. All the rescues are closed right now so we're doing the best we can on short notice. I've never raised cats before. Any suggestions or changes you guys would recommend? Thanks!
